Is it half EMPTY?
Is this a trick question? ๐
Well,
If you said half Full you're optimistic! You have a very positive way of looking at things
& have high expectations.
If you said half Empty, you're pessimistic! You're always on guard for negative outcomes
& you have very low expectations.
Some people go against the grain and are neither optimistic nor pessimistic.
They may just see the glass of water as just THAT, a glass of water, neither half full or half empty!
If you're in the latter category, then you're a 'realist'!
A 'Realist' isn't influenced one way or the other, by positive or negative things.
He's sort of like a school of fish all going in the same direction EXCEPT for him,
he's busy going the other way. He dances to the beat of a different drummer!
The 'Realist' is always prepared for both outcomes to prevent terrible disappointments.
He expects the best while still being prepared for the worst.
ALL 3 tendencies are learned behavior based on what's happened in YOUR life.
Therefore, these tendencies can be 'unlearned' or 'adapted' to fit situations once you
fully understand what's going on!
