I used to be a credit card collector! I not only collected them BUT I used them to the MAX! Throughout the years I had fun buying all kinds of STUFF on credit. I had 16 - 18 credit cards PLUS a car note to pay which wasn’t cute!
With time and age, I eventually came to my senses and began seeking the best way FOR ME to get out of debt.
I used the DAVE RAMSEY Debt Snowball Method:
- List ALL credit cards from lowest to highest
- Pay off LOWEST cards first, to get instant gratification when you see them dwindling down
- Keep paying the next lowest card in line
- Continue paying only the MINIMUM PAYMENTS on the other cards regardless of the interest
- As you begin to see progress, DON'T SPEND that extra money you'll have. Roll it into the next lowest card
- This doesn't include regular household bills such as House Note, Water, Gas, Electric, etc.
This Debt Snowball Method Works even though it doesn't seem logical.
I was THOUSANDS of Dollars in debt. It took me 14 months to completely pay off All my credit cards AND my car!
I feel FREE! I continue to do the HAPPY DANCE each month when I only have to pay regular household bills.
I now use 1 cash back credit card to pay ALL bills and to shop with. I always pay it in full each month.
